The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness; but He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance .
But if your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not, by your eating, destroy someone for whom Christ died
Rend your hearts and not your garments, and return to the Lord your God; for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness, and He relents from sending calamity
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men ,
knowing that you will receive from the Lord the inheritance as a reward .
